Each brand has a well-defined identity, with a specific values which are reflected in the product offering, features and design, as well as in appropriate communication mechanics.
We remain convinced that our balanced business model, combining profitable growth and a resolutely responsible approach, creates value for all and plays a full part in our contribution to better living in households around the world.
Our Sustainable Development Department, created in 2004, reports to the Human Resources Department whose director is a member of the Executive Committee. To drive a collective policy at all levels of our company, the Sustainable Development Department, staffed by six employees (two of whom oversee the Groupe SEB Fund), coordinates a steering committee with employees from various departments. The 20 staff members in the steering committee come from the Communication, Quality/Environment, Innovation, Purchasing, Logistics and Marketing departments, among others. They meet three times a year to roll out our three-year road map on sustainable development.
Our Sustainable Development Department uses a specific non-financial reporting tool to produce social, societal and environmental reporting at group level. The reporting covers all concerned business line processes and the data on sustainable development.
To keep in close touch with our ecosystem, the Sustainable Development Department initiated a system of regular dialogue with a panel of stakeholders in 2013. Made up of external international experts and an employee representative, the panel serves to collect a range of opinions and suggestions on our sustainable development policy.
Assessed by several non-financial rating agencies and listed in socially responsible investment (SRI) indexes, our CSR performance is gaining recognition.
